Luke James is the Head Golf Professional at Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club in Flowery Branch, Georgia. He served as Director of Golf Instruction for the past three years. Luke is a Gainesville native and a graduate of Johnson High School in Hall County. Currently, Luke is a PGA apprentice while working on his Level III certification. His goal is to help transform Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club into a more golfer-friendly and welcoming environment. Luke works hard on his own game and participates in PGA-sponsored events when possible to stay current with competition, teaching, and technology. He has experienced success in many sanctioned events and won the PGA Assistant’s Tournament for the state of Georgia in 2019. Luke enjoys organizing charitable/fund-raising tournaments and oversees their capacity for success. Luke has been very successful in organizing and conducting children’s, ladies, and men’s golf clinics. He feels he can serve and instruct each golfer to overcome bad habits, develop new and productive ones, and enjoy every facet of the game. He also enjoys fitting golfers for new clubs, is able to repair damaged equipment, and can adjust and make present clubs more suitable for the individual golfer.
